About CossackSec
After years working in Financial Economic Crime (FEC) and risk management within the banking sector, Davíd began to notice a troubling pattern:
European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) were increasingly exposed to cyber threats - yet lacked the time, resources, or in-house expertise to properly defend themselves.
In early 2025, a visit to Kyiv offered Davíd a fresh perspective. Spending time with Ukranian friends and family, and reconnecting with the region through new eyes, he saw the resilience of a country under constant digital fire, and the extraordinary talent quietly working behind the scenes to defend it.
It was during this time that Davíd reconnected with Dima, a long-time friend and experienced tech and finance professional originally from Ukraine. Over long conversations about cybersecurity, resilience, and purpose, the vision for CossackSec came to life.
